screens for bong

i recently just made my own bong and i was wondering if it is safe to use a circular cutout of a piece of a soda can with holes in it as a screen? i figure ur not burning it so it cant be that harmfull but i am just wondering.

Nothing wrong with it. Weed doesn't have all the household chemicals cigarettes do, therefore it doesn't need to be filtered.
Screens on bongs and pipes aren't for filtration anyways, they just keep ya from suckin down your weed.

the can thing is good short term, but pinch the screen from the inside of a bathroom fitting or cut some mesh from a window. heating up aluminium is a bad idea. you could always go to a head shop and invest.....

i heard that soda can is bad for you, cause i used to smoke out of them, and the foil gets burned etc... I normally rely on tinfoil whereas my friend has the screen out of his window and he cuts out screens whenever he makes a bong, im thinking this cant be good lol...whatever works i gues.

aluminum is bad for you, including tinfoil. most window screens are made out of aluminum. it gives you alzheimers when youre oldre. get your ass down to the headshop and buy a glass bong. i never use a screen with my glass bong and it only sucks through ash, never greens. the water catches, thats what its supposed to do
