I do "use" roaches, but lets not get into that.

You don't feel like opening your mind to new things, thats your choice. Go right on filtering your joints. Doesn't bother me any.

I don't feel like opening my mind? Did you not read my post saying that after having this little debate i went off and made a spliff from ''roaches'' and didn't find it to be as good? I didn't like the taste and it didn't get me higher.

First off, they're not even filters, they don't filter out any of the good stuff.

Second, I tried rolling joints like Beldin does, without a cardboard roach, and I fucked up royally, I'm just used to roll with tips, as is nearly everyone I know.

And finally, who gives a fuck how you roll your joints anyway.

They don't have to filter out the good stuff to be called filters. They filter out the solid weed - hence the term, filter.

Anyway I don't care what you call them, I just thought you might like to know.

Hmm up till now I didn't even realize that people rolled joints with filters in them. I have never used one, and like Beldin (maybe it's from being Canadian) I smoke my roaches (Canadian term).

As Beldin was explaining, the smoke that rushes through the joint leaves resin deposits along the paper and the weed itself. It's not a theory it's a proven fact. Where do you think the resin on bongs and pipes comes from hehe, the same thing happens to joints. When I get a roach I like to admire how brown/black the paper has become from resin. Having roaches left over is kinda like a souvenir for me, from another good time hehe. And then I can smoke my souvenir later and "remember" what a great time I had. hahahaa

But I agree, it's totally roller prerefference (sp?) and Beldin and I prefer to have beautiful gleaming roaches, soaked in resin and ready for a future toke session.

I smoked without filters because if you save up 4 (american) roaches and roll a new J with that bud its alot stronger since its so resinated

I agree with midnight this is all a lie. Absolutely. I have made plenty of joints out of leftover joints and they never taste as nice or get me as high. Sure there is resin going onto the weed, but the weed is going stale whilst you arent smoking it and its just sitting there in resin, and besides the smoke that is inhaled is also paper, so you are smoking stale paper smoke and a bit of brown resiny bud. An EASIER way to save bud is to make a backup spliff and stash it seperate place to your smoke. This is what i always do and is much better than smoking old weed IMO.

erh, roaches dont filter shit, theyre just usefull cuz they make the joint more stable, and allow you to smoke it all the way down, plus even if it gets all slimey (some ppl have the tendancy to like barf on it or something) its still open so the tokes are better, and u dent get ur fingers burnt

plus you can buy little "books" that have like 100 roach leafs on them so u just take one off and roll the roach, which takes 10 seconds
